We're happy to have your comments--in fact we NEED your comments to help us keep things up-to-date. But we've had too many nasty, snarky coments on the school profile pages in recent weeks, so we're trying something new. From now on, to post a comment, you have to give us a valid email address. You can still post anonymously--and your email address won't be visible on the site--but we're hoping this change will make the debate more civil.
Our rules are simple:
- Give specific examples. Tell us why “this school rocks” (or doesn’t)
- No profanity. No racial or ethnic slurs. No personal attacks
- Criticism is fine but don’t be nasty.
- Flag inappropriate comments. (Hover your cursor over comments to see flag)
Stay on topic. Write from your own experience as a parent, a teacher, or a student. Don't give us third-hand gossip. We expect a debate and we don't expect everyone to be positive about everything. But when you criticize, try to do it in a way that's constructive and not simply mean.
