A Community Forum on the Challenges Facing District 3 Public Schools

The District recently received an $11.3 million magnet grant to reduce “racial isolation.” The Parent Leadership Project, Metro Center at NYU, New York Appleseed, Participatory Action Research Center for Education Organizing, Public Science Project of the CUNY Graduate Center, and Teacher College’s Institute for Urban and Minority Education present Learn about Community Controlled Choice: an admissions policy and school assignment plan that addresses racial isolation and co-location with charter schools.
