A public hearing to solicit comments regarding new charter school applications in Community School District #5: The Onyx Academy for the Performing Arts Charter Schools and the Dr. Muriel Petioni Charter School which plan to open in 2013.
The Onyx Academy for the Performing Arts Charter Schools:Proposed enrollment and grades served are as follows: 5th year – 525 students in grades 6 - 12.
The Dr. Muriel Petioni Charter Schools: Proposed enrollment and grades served: 5th year – 375 students in grades 6-8.
These applications are being considered by the New York State Education Department (SED).http://www.p12.nysed.gov/psc/
