UFT Anti-Bullying Fair
Attend the UFT Anti-Bullying Fair on March 1
The UFT will host its first-ever Anti-Bullying Fair. Hundreds of educators, parents and city leaders will be present to view the exhibits at 52 Broadway, second floor, 2 to 6 p.m. All schools and parents associations are encouraged to send representatives. The goal of the fair is to provide an opportunity for schools and communities to get more information and become more involved with anti-bullying efforts in the New York City area, and to meet great people and organizations with whom to collaborate. There will be free lesson plans and materials, and you can learn which organizations can come to your school to do programs or presentations. The fair is the newest initiative in the union’s BRAVE campaign, which combats bullying in the schools. The union launched its anti-bullying hotline, 212-709-3222, in October.
