Charter School Advocacy Day 2012
On Tuesday, February 7, 2012, charter school parents and supporters from across New York State will travel to Albany to meet each other, rally outside the capitol, and engage with lawmakers on important charter school issues. Your school is sending a group, too. We want our elected officials to know that charter schools focus on more than just standardized testing. Join us as we “Share our good work.” We also want lawmakers to support the Public Charter School Parent Empowerment Act, Bill A.8004/S.6100. This bill would allow parents/guardians of charter school children to sit on Community Education Councils (CEC’s).
Transportation, breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided.
