Your independent guide to NYC public schools

Hello Everyone,

The Center for Arts Education (CAE) is planning a day of entertainment for you and your kids at Brooklyn Borough Hall Plaza (between Court and Adams St.) this coming Saturday, September 20th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. We would like to invite you to bring your families down. Activities will include African drumming, making art from recyclable materials and a performance by Dancewave’s Kids Company. CAE is celebrating the publication of two new Parent Guides: Your Child, Your School and the Arts: A Guide for Parents with Children in Grades 3-5 and Your Child, Your School and the Arts: A Guide for Parents with Children in Grades 6-8.

CAE is committed to seeing that quality arts programs are part of every student's education no matter where they attend school. As most parents know, the focus on standardized testing is taking attention away from other areas that are equally important in a well-rounded eduction. We hope to see you on Saturday.
