Hi, My child is finishing K in public school this year and I strongly feel that he needs to repeat K as he is behind and needs to catch up in reading and get more moture before he gets to first grade. His school rejected my request to repeat K simply with, "We don't do it". Does anyone know if there is a way to get him to repeat K in public school in nyc? Why not supplement with weekly tutoring? Start in the summer and continue on throughout the school year. There is no need for him to get left back; as little as 2 hours per week can give him the boost he needs to keep up with the other 1st graders.	LPTutors OFFLINE Fresh Boarder Posts: 1
