From what I hear, PS 220 has smaller classes, probably because the school's location is less convenient for many of the parents who have kids testing into G&T for the District. I would not be overly concerned about large class size for G&T at PS 144. They are a very strong school overall, and I am sure that G&T kids there will have great teachers. Some of the PS 144 Gen Ed kids shift to private schools or religious schools later on so I would expect that there will be some kids moving out of the G&T program for those options also. In other words, natural attrition in the neighborhood tends to result in lower class sizes after 2nd grade. I would imagine that the G&T program at PS 144 would be the same.
