TOPIC: Regular HS/YABC

Regular HS/YABC 9 months, 3 weeks ago #9990

I have an 18 year old daughter who's about to turn 19 in September and was discharged from her school because she attempted to get a GED but has decided she is against getting it. I personally don't want her to have a GED either - her counselor told her about YABC, and I was wondering if it was possible for her to get a regents diploma (or advanced if she studied) at this program. I tried calling the offices but no one seems to answer lately. It must be me.

She has about 22 credits and passed all her regents except one. I was wondering if it were possible for her to go back to a different traditional high school. Do you think so?

I hope to get a reply asap. Thanks for your time. <3

Please look immediately into Manhattan Comprehensive Night and Day School. This school accepts older students and they graduate with a regular high school diploma. They have AP classes and other advanced classes. And also foundation support.

If your daughter is serious about graduating with a non-GED diploma, this place has a reputation of being very supportive. They have a website, and you can access it via the Inside School's review.

Good luck!
