Missed the Math Test -- 7th grader. Now what? 2 years ago #9095

My 7th grade son took the ELA but missed the Math because he was hospitalized.  I understand there is no longer a make-up --- Does he apply to high schools on the basis of ELA only?  Will schools consider his 6th grade scores?  Will his current math teacher have input?  Please help. Thanks.

If your child was hospitalized then you could probably chat up someone from the DOE and arrange something with the proper paperwork (I.E proof of hospitalization).  I think the proper person to consult would be your child's guidance counselor or the principal of the school so they can arrange something for your kid.

Did he manage to take the make up test? If not, he can simply take the ERB test this fall and all public schools would accept that as substitution. Good luck.
