Your independent guide to NYC public schools

The written parts of the dreaded (on my part) science test are Monday. I've looked at the 2010 test that my child brought home only one week ago and nearly had a stroke. Seriously, who remembers all of the things learned in science class in 6th and 7th grade--DNA, circulatory system, respiratory system, etc. etc.? My child's school 8th gr. science teacher did one practice test (last week) and never bothered to even go over it. What happens if a kid fails this test.
