TOPIC: How to prepare for the OLSAT?

Re: How to prepare for the OLSAT? 4 years, 4 months ago #7374

At first I was very skeptical about preparation for the Olsat last year for my child. Nevertheless I'm glad I did my research. I highly recommend Another Young Scholar Tutoring, there are just so many people claiming to be tutors and have no qualifications. What I like about this company is that all of their tutors are BOE teachers already. The tutor that came to my home was professional and worked in a school that I was familiar with so that made me feel comfortable, then I noticed Amber (my daughter) picking up on the strategies they worked on with her, and improving. VERY IMPORTANT, the tutor didn't burn my kid out, she never knew she was doing test prep. it was fun every session, I think that's what made the difference for me. I also liked that they got me involved and kept me abreast every step of the way. She passed the OLSAT last year so I'm pleased with that companies service. Look them up www.anotheryoungscholar.com

I have never heard of the tutors that happydad mention. However, i do know the tutors from manhattan edge as i am currently using them for my 4 yr old dd. The tutors are g&t teachers in manhattan and actually give the OLSAT, that is the reason i went with them. So far so good as my dd is in the round 2 test for hunter! I would highly recommend them
