About The Meeting:
**** Please Note: This is our 20th Year Anniversary Meeting.
Short on short-term ("working") memory? Or mental concentration, cognitive processing speed, impulse control, or self-organization?
To seek help with such is to try this regimen or that. At times, maybe, with some success.
But -- all too often -- treatments aren't potent enough, or they're undercut by side effects, or their therapeutic impact fades over time.
What might be done? On May 3, join us in considering:
1) What neuro-technologies have emerged in the last 20 years?
2) How might their capabilities -- to reshape brain circuits, to move programming materials into the brain, to measure attention in real time -- be combined?
3) Could these be fashioned into a radically improved set of treatments?
This will be a talk like none other. MAADDSG founder and coordinator, Paul Jaffe, has spent 27 years tracking these developments. And asking the question: how can we move the pile forward?
About Our Group:
The Manhattan Adult ADD Support Group has run support sessions for adults with Attention Deficit Disorder -- or, more formally, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder -- since 1992. We are celebrating our 20th year of running meetings to help adults with ADD/ADHD. We're a public,
walk-in support group led by ADD adults. We are also fortunate to have presentations led by
some of the leading experts in ADD/ADHD.
