According to the Department of Education, the Sheridan Academy for Young Leaders and the Family School will open in September 2009 at PS 90, which will begin to phase out in June 2009.  The Family School and the Sheridan School will start out with grades K-2 and grow to serve grades K-5 at full capacity. 

Admissions: Current PS 90 students in grades K-1 will have priority to enroll at either the Family School or the Sheridan Academy for Young Leaders.  For kindergarten, priority will be given to students who live in the PS 90 school zone.  Students can indicate their preference between the two new schools.
