One of the 3Ms of Brooklyn, along with Midwood and Murrow, Madison High School occupies two city blocks and houses 4,000 students. There is no denying that it is huge, but it also works. Some 85% of graduates go on to four-year colleges.

When the new principal, Joseph Gogliormella, arrived in the spring of 2003, teachers greeted him with a standing ovation. The review for James Madison is so outdated. The 'chalk and talk' lectures? Yes, they've been instated into our curriculum. No journals are kept for science. Math, depends on which teachers you... read more
