Thomas A. Edison High School has come a long way since it opened in 1950 as an all-boys, vocational high school. The school is co-ed now, and since the mid-1990s it has been a Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. That means students must fulfill the academic requirements for a Regents diploma even as they learn a trade.
