Founded in 2002 as a New Century school, the Community School for Social Justice teaches students to take "social action" and become problem solvers. "We go to rallies, oppose budget cuts, and protest the Regents," says Principal Sue-Ann Rosch. Students have internships at a variety of community organizations, including a range of social service centers at the nonprofit organization, Citizen's Advice Bereau, which is also the school's lead partner. Other internships sites include health centers, schools, parks, and a public legal. . .
