The final class graduated in June, and the school closed. According to an update we received in June, about half of the teachers were to be terminated, and the principal, John Hughes, formerly principal of PS 48, a high-performing school in the Bronx, who replaced previous principal, Talbert Thomas in August 2007, will remain at the new school, The Hunts Point School, IS 424.
