A few blocks away from PS 94 is the lavish, open campus of Kings College, with numerous trees and parks that leads north to million dollar homes in Riverdale. However, south of the campus is Gunhill, a working and middle class neighborhood that lacks conveniences like a nearby train or large grocery store. Students purchasing school supplies must take a long, frustrating journey by train to a neighborhood with large stores, or pay inflated prices at a smaller, local, corner store.
