A new principal, a smaller student body and the beefing up of electives in arts and technology are among the recent changes at MS 181, the Pablo Casals School. Principal Chris Warnock, who was both a teacher and assistant principal at the school, took the helm in September 2006 after the retirement of longtime principal Stephen Bennett. Like its sister school, MS 180, also in Co-op City, MS 181 phased out its fifth grade and shifted to a traditional 6th though 8th grade. . .
