A sweet, engaging school, the Manhattan Academy of Technology (MAT) has strong academics and an impressive array of arts and sports. Manhattan Academy of Technology is the name given to the upper grades of P.S./M.S. 126, a combined elementary and middle school. P.S. 126 is a neighborhood school that serves mostly poor and working-class children from Chinatown and the Lower East Side. Most of the 5th graders stay on for 6th grade, where they are joined by 50 or 60 children from other elementary schools in District 2. |
