MS 172 is a vibrant school where foreign language and math teachers collaborate on lessons about the prices of dishes in Spanish restaurants, science students build and launch model rockets, and girls create frequency tables for math class by watching their friends jump rope. Large but not crowded, the school has reorganized into three academies to give students a stronger sense of community.
