PS 97 is housed in an old but well-maintained red-brick building surrounded by manicured landscaping and a wrought iron fence. Inside the main entrance, the walls are adorned with bright-colored paintings of clouds, rainbows, and trees. The warm atmosphere continues in Principal Lucille Cardinale's office, where a rocking chair and set of books are reserved for students needing a little extra attention.
