SEPTEMBER 2006 UPDATE: Therese Rosenberg is no longer the school's principal. The new principal is Diane Gordin.

APRIL 2005 REVIEW: PS 1 in Tottenville not only has the feel of a little red schoolhouse, it has the look of one too. The school was founded in 1878 in a quaint looking, red brick building with a pointed roof and a bell tower, and its "new" addition was built 97 years ago. In this somewhat isolated neighborhood -- the last stop on Staten Island rapid transit -- many of the current parents attended the school as. . .
