Located in East Harlem, overlooking the East River, Manhattan Center for Science and Mathematics (MSCM) attracts high achieving, predominantly black and Latino students from all five boroughs. It boasts partnerships with major institutions, an array of challenging classes (including 11 Advanced Placement courses), and an impressive record of graduates going on to four-year colleges (90 percent in 2008). Housed in a majestic 1940s building featuring an expansive library slated for renovations during the 2008-09 school year, the school shares the facility with the Isaac Newton Middle School. |
