Abraham Lincoln has been divided into four smaller programs: The Academy of Discovery and Exploration, The Academy of Science and Aeronautics, The Lincoln Leadership Academy and The Creative Arts Academy. The reorganization is designed to offer students a range of themes to choose from, as well as a well-rounded curriculum. The restructuring, carried out with the help of the Center for Educational Innovation, a non-profit school reform group, has helped transform the school from a large, impersonal "factory" into a set of small learning environments where students cannot "slip through the cracks," according to the CEI newsletter.
