For someone like me, who has known Brook since he was just 2, it almost brings tears to my eyes to read this. He 'gets' it. That is so wonderful. I often wonder if my son gets it and even though his teacher and team feel he is ready to go to a 'less restrictive' environment, I, his parent, am not as sure. (And we simply don't know how much of it is him doing the standard kidlike thing and demanding his own way, and us not wanting the meltdown that could ensue when nothing is to his liking.)
