# P.S. 354

### What's special:

### The downside:

## Review

Our review:

PS 354, opened in 2011, replaces PS 30, which the Department of Education decided to close for poor performance. Principal Jermaine Green, the founding principal, died in December 2013 and Raeven Askew became interim acting principal.

Parents and teachers gave the school high marks for safety and respect in the school’s first Learning Environment Survey. One concern: the school has below average attendance.

**Admissions:** Neighborhood school. *(Clara Hemphill, web reports, December 2013)*
