District 10

District 10 includes affluent Riverdale, known for its grand historic homes, alongside Fordham, Belmont, and Kingsbridge with more varied economic backgrounds and denser housing. Fun family outings include the Bronx Zoo, and Wave Hill—a beautiful public garden that offers educational programs for children.

The district shows steady but modest progress academically. There is strong community involvement—many programs, through schools and non-profits, are aimed at supporting immigrant families and students learning English.

P.S. 7 Milton Fein (K–5) in Kingsbridge has a strong arts program and gifted and talented classes. At P.S. 344 AmPark Neighborhood School (Pre-K–5) kids raise trout for release into the Hudson River. Jonas Bronck Academy (6–8) focuses on hands-on projects and research.
