Last summer high school admissions workshop
The last of a series of workshops for middle school students and their families, introducing them to the high school admissions process, will be held tonight, Aug. 10, atStuyvesant High School at 6:30 p.m. Led by Department of Education officials from the office of enrollment, the topic is "next steps."
Previous summer workshops focused onselective and specialized high schools; arts schools that require an audition, career and tech programs, large neighborhood schools, small schools and charter schools. If you missed any of the sessions, you can pick up brochures tonight or access them online.
What's next for 8th graders? The citywide high school fair will be held the weekend of Oct. 2-3 at Brooklyn Tech High School. And, the DOE promises there will be more admissions workshops in the fall. Stay tuned for more details. We'll post them as we get them.
