Election season for Parent/Parent-Teacher Associations is underway in schools across the city.  According to Chancellor's Regulation A-660, elections for the positions of president, recording secretary and treasurer must be held between the third Wednesday in May and the third Friday in June (May 19 - June 18 in 2010). These three executive board members are particularly important this year because they are the folks who will vote for members of the Community Education Councils in next spring's elections. Elections to fill other PA/PTA positions may be held in the fall to accommodate incoming parents.

Back in September, we asked parents if they planned to attend the first PA/PTA meeting of the school year.  Now we're asking parents to assess how well their PA/PTA performed over the past year. Take our poll and comment below.
