Poll Results: Delay in HS letters, budget cuts cause most angst
In the last poll's angst-o-meter, the largest percentage of you -- 44% -- were most annoyed by the Department of Education's delay in sending high school placement letters. And, indeed, the DOE still has not released news about how many students were placed in high schools after the main round, and how many have yet to be matched and must go through another round of applying.
Next on the list of what's bugging you most? The looming budget cuts with 39% of you worried about impending cuts to the public schools.
Waitlisted kindergartners were a big source of angst for 25% of you; followed by 21% of you concerned that the DOE illegally sanctioned the closing of 29 schools, as the State Supreme court ruled.
Only five percent of you voted that "the system is in swell shape."
