PS K231 is a school where teachers agree they feel their students are safe around the school, surveys report.

The school, which serves around 340 students grades 1st-9th, is located in six sites across Brooklyn. The student body consists of learners with autism, intellectual disabilities, emotional disturbances, as well as speech and language impairments. The attendance rate for the 2015-2016 year was 90.5 percent, according to the Comprehensive Education Plan.

ADMISSIONS: Citywide. PS K231 is part of District 75, a network of 69 schools dedicated to New York Citys students with disabilities who require increased attention. District 75 provides educational, vocational, and behavioral support programs for students who are on the autism spectrum, have significant cognitive delays, are significantly emotionally challenged, have a sensory impairment or have multiple disabilities.
