The student body mainly consists of learners with autism, emotional disturbances, multiple handicaps or intellectual disabilities. According to the Comprehensive Education Plan, the attendance for the 2015-2016 school year was 87.4 percent. Additionally, the quality of teaching is good according to the 2015 Quality Review.

ADMISSIONS: Citywide. PS K771 is part of District 75, a network of 69 schools dedicated to New York Citys students with disabilities who require increased attention.
