PS 138 is a safe and orderly school where students agree that most students treat each other with respect, according to school surveys.

The school, which serves over 600 1st- 12th graders, is located in eleven sites throughout Manhattan. It offers specialized educational and therapeutic services to students with autism, students with significant cognitive, physical or behavioral disabilities, and students with multiple disabilities. According to the Comprehensive Education Plan, the attendance rate for the 2015-2016 school year was 83.7 percent.

ADMISSIONS: Citywide. PS 138 is part of District 75, a network of 69 schools dedicated to New York Citys students with disabilities who require increased attention. District 75 provides educational, vocational, and behavioral support programs for students who are on the autism spectrum, have significant cognitive delays, are significantly emotionally challenged, have a sensory impairment or have multiple disabilities.
