Manhattan School for Career Development, which serves about 200 students grades 10 to 12, is located in the East Village in Manhattan. The attendance rate for the 2015-2016 school year was 71 percent, according to the Comprehensive Education Plan (CEP). Additionally, the schools pedagogy earned well-developed on the 2016 Quality Review, the highest possible ranking.

According to the CEP, students are offered community-based work experiences. Specifically, business partners such as AHRC, Mt. Sinai Hospital, Grand Hyatt Hotel, Teacher College, Bard College, NYU, and Bellevue Hospital, GMHC, St. Marks, Best Buddies after-school program and Department of Education provide students with career opportunities and access to employment with livable wage. Additionally, the school participates in three inclusion programs with Harvey Milk High School, High School of Fashion Industries, and Hudson High of Learning Technologies.

ADMISSIONS: Citywide. Manhattan School for Career Development is part of District 75, a network of 69 schools dedicated to New York Citys students with disabilities who require increased attention. District 75 provides educational, vocational, and behavioral support programs for students who are on the autism spectrum, have significant cognitive delays, are significantly emotionally challenged, have a sensory impairment or have multiple disabilities.
