Our Insights

The children and staff of PS 28 moved into the top floor of PS 40 in 2019 because their building at 1001 Herkimer Street needed repairs.

PS 28's enrollment has been steadily shrinking and it served fewer than 100 children in 2019. The school's "transient population of students who come and go" makes it difficult for teachers to gain traction with the children, according to the school's yearly plan.
