Our Insights

In 2017 the Panel for Educational Policy voted to merge the Frederick Douglass Academy IV with another high school in the building, theBrooklyn Academy of Global Finance. Both schools had a history of low-enrollment and the city determined that combining the schools would lead to more robust enrollment and better school resources and school environment. FDA IV is officially closed and its students now attend the Brooklyn Academy of Global Finance.(Pamela Wheaton, web report, July 2017)
