If you are interested in the dual language program you must list it separately on your application. You are not guaranteed a spot in the program even if this is your zoned school. Some dual language programs give preference to children who live in the attendance zone, and some have room for children outside the attendance zone.

Why might this school be a good fit for you? If its your zoned school, it's close to home. If you can walk to it, that means an easier (and perhaps safer) commute. It's also more convenient to arrange playdates and get involved with the school. You can share pick up and drop off duties with other families. Most of all, you are guaranteed to get in except in rare instances of overcrowding.
