P.S. 273 in Richmond Hill is a neighborhood school serving grades Pre-K through 5. This school is in its own building.
This is a school where children who enter with low, middle and high test scores will do well, as compared to other schools in the city. The Pre-K has lots of activities for children to explore art, nature, music, dramatic play and more, which are meant to develop a range of skills and promote a child's acceptance of diversity. Teachers ask children questions, invite back-and-forth conversation to develop language skills, mutual respect and promote positive social interactions. Children are encouraged to communicate and learn language skills through books, puppets or blocks. The principal has been leading this school since 2009.
This school prioritizes children who live in the school zone, but anyone is welcome to apply. Type your address into our school search to see your zoned school.
