Our Insights

Independence High School is a small high school in Hell's Kitchen serving grades 10 through 12. This school shares a building with the HS for Environmental Studies.

This is a transfer alternative school, which admits older students who have fallen behind in credits, dropped out, or need a fresh start. Transfer schools are designed to help students get back on track towards graduation. The principal has been leading this school since 2003.
