J.H.S. 13 Jackie Robinson

The small middle school went through three name changes between January 2004 and 2105--Central Park Prep, Central Park East Middle School and finally JHS 13 Jackie Robinson. Unlike the popular elementary and high school in the building-- Central Park East 1 and Central Park East High School --the middle school suffered from poor attendance and very low levels of academic achievement. Enrollment shrank and the Department of Education decided to close the school. No new students were admitted as of 2013.
