What’s Special

A mock courtroom and trips to Wall Street

The Downside

Poor attendance, metal detectors

The Bronx School of Law and Finance, which shares the John F. Kennedy Campus with other small schools, has a mock courtroom and field trips to Wall Street to engage students in hands-on lessons in the school’s theme. The school offers Latin and Spanish, according to the high school directory.

Most students enter with poor academic skills. Attendance is poor, and more than half miss more than a month of school, according to Department of Education data. The JFK campus has metal detectors. (Saba Sebhatu, web reports and DOE data, October 2018)
