Our Insights

Brownsville Collaborative Middle School works hard to engage students in fun projects and activities. Students grow fruits and vegetables in a hydroponic garden, then sell them at a farmers market. They may take part in a program called Victory Arts that includes a marching band and majorettes.

As part of a program called Midnight Baseball, the building is open every evening for members of the community to study or play in a safe place, according to the Comprehensive Educational Plan.

Brownsville Collaborative Middle School shares a building with PS 298. The small middle school opened in 2012 after the Department of Education decided to phase out the middle school grades at PS 298, formerly a K-8 school.

Admissions: District 23 choice.
