Our Insights

The New York City Department of Education (DOE) closedEast New York Preparatory School (ENYP) at the end of the 2010 school year. Though the school posted impressive results on state tests, the DOE revoked the school's charter citing evidence of improperly discharged students and inadequate special education services. The school's board of directors was cited also for failing to exercise proper oversight of the school and its leadership.
